Floors are Done!

We took a couple carloads over to the house tonight, and stopped upstairs to check out the newly finished floors now that they are dry. They look great! Almost all of the spots we were worried about sanded out perfectly, and the oak is beautiful. These pictures don't do it justice, taken at night with my little p&s camera. I'll try to get some daylight shots with the wide angle lens before we move in.

Also today, Dave ordered the cooktop he found. 5 burners, and it matches the fridge! Four nights left in the old apartment...

I forgot to mention, we bought a fridge on Friday. It's coming the day after Christmas. :)

6 Nights!

6 more nights left to sleep in the place I've called home for more than 9 years...

The floor guys came Friday, and although they still have to finish sealing the floor, we got a sneak preview of the sanded, partially sealed product and it's beautiful! It isn't perfect, but I like that. It is definitely better than we expected.

We are still moving little by little with a couple trips a night, filling the borrowed CRV with whatever boxes and smaller items will fit. I can't wait to be all moved in!

12 days until we have to be out of the apartment

Took some bins of basement "stuff" over tonight. Dave's parents have spackled and painted the ceilings, moldings, window trims etc. Tomorrow the floor guys come.
